XI INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM «METROLOGY OF TIME AND SPACE»

The Symposium took place on September 27-29, 2023 at the Moscow region, Russia. The goal of the event is to improve interaction, cooperation and discussions among professional communities of metrologists, manufacturers and suppliers of equipment used for time and frequency measurements.
During the symposium, more than 90 reports were presented on actual topics of measurement in the field of time and frequency, as well as space navigation, gravimetry and geodesy, among which our experts presented two relevant reviews:
- “Modern laser solutions for cold atom for physics and optical frequency standards".
Single-frequency laser systems for quantum applications have reached a high level of development. Wavelength variability makes it possible to build quantum models for different atoms and ions; a narrow spectral linewidth makes it possible to fine-tune the desired atomic transition. In addition to outstanding parameters, resistance to operating conditions is also required. All these tasks are effectively solved using modern single-frequency fiber lasers Fex-laser with a wavelength range from 250 nm to 4000 nm.
- “Solutions for precision quantum measurements”.
This presentation included systems, devices and components for the creation of high-precision and highly sensitive quantum precision measuring instruments of CAS COLD ATOM.as well as information about unique for Russian market Absolute quantum gravimeter.
In addition to the presentation sessions, event participants also had the opportunity to discuss with our team some current issues and questions of the possibility to integrate modern equipment from our partners into the workflow and research.
