ALL-RUSSIAN DIANOV’S CONFERENCE ON FIBER OPTICS (VKVO-2023)

Last week from October 3 to 6 the All-Russian conference on fiber optics "VKVO-2023" took place, which is traditionally held in Perm on the territory of the cultural and leisure center of the Photonics cluster every two years. This year the event gathered more than 350 participants from all over the country, who presented their developments, took part in the discussion of current research problems and issues of photonic technologies application.

        

The conference program contained 275 papers. Our company prepared a review report on "Technological equipment for work with special optical fibers". The presentation included a summary review of various types of equipment, including glasse-processing stations from Oscom Technology based on CO2 laser, graphite filament and plasma ring, stations for production of fused fiber-optic components from Oscom Technology, tunable fiber splicers, special optical fiber welding machines from Fitel.

          

We are glad to note that our report aroused genuine interest among the scientific community, and a number of clarifying questions during the report turned into a full-fledged discussion and debate outside the business program. Within the framework of the conference, the sponsors organized an exhibition program. Our company "Special Systems. Photonics" acted as one of the sponsors. At the exhibition stand participants could familiarize themselves with some devices of DIMENSION and Opeak companies. Also our employees told in detail about the range of equipment available for delivery, relevant to the theme of the conference.
