XXXIX Fortov International Conference on Equations of State for Matter «ELBRUS 2024»

03/18/2024

The XXXIX Fortov International Conference on Equations of State for Matter "ELBRUS 2024" successfully took place in Kabardino-Balkaria from March 1 to March 6, 2024.

During this event, the main technical objective was a examination of the physical properties of matter under extreme conditions, specifically focusing on high pressures and temperatures. Additionally, the aimed to investigate the complex physics of phenomena that occur at high energy densities. This detailed exploration is considered essential for the progress of our understanding of intricate scientific principles and has the potential to trigger significant breakthroughs in various research fields. By bringing together leading experts in the field, the conference created a platform for knowledge exchange and cutting-edge idea sharing.

It was a great pleasure for us to participate in this event, where we were able to showcase the products of our partners and present a report on "Overview of Modern Nanosecond, Picosecond, and Femtosecond Lasers for Pulsed Applications." Our involvement in the conference allowed us to interact with experts in the field and share our knowledge on cutting-edge laser technologies and their varied applications in pulsed systems.

Pulsed lasers are becoming indispensable tools for numerous contemporary scientific experiments and industrial research. However, there is an increasing need for lasers to improve in terms of user-friendliness, reliability, and ease of operation. A diverse range of lasers utilizes various active media to produce specific wavelengths and function on different principles to achieve desired pulse durations.

Essential qualities that contribute to the making of self-sufficient and user-friendly laser devices include the incorporation of parameter monitoring abilities, robust component protection mechanisms, and guarantees of durability. We provided an overview of the latest advancements in pulsed laser parameters for optical applications that involve interactions with various materials, plasma physics, material enhancement, and the development of essential laser equipment.
