Russian Forum «Microelectronics 2026»
Special Systems. Photonics Presented Partner Technologies at Microelectronics 2026
Special Systems. Photonics participated in the Russian Microelectronics 2026 Forum, held from September 28 to October 2, 2026, at Sirius University, 1 Olimpiysky Prospekt, in the Sirius Federal Territory, Russia. The company organized a dedicated demonstration area at booth 49, presented technological solutions at the exhibition and contributed to the forum’s scientific program.
Our specialists provided technical consultations on fiber processing, microwave photonics, optoelectronics, laser photolithography and 3D nanoprinting. Visitors could see equipment in operation, assess polarization-maintaining (PM) fiber splices directly at the booth and bring their own fiber samples to test the equipment and discuss their process requirements.
PM-Fiber Splicing and Single-Frequency Laser Solutions
A central element of the demonstration area was a complete workflow for preparing, splicing and assessing 80 µm and 125 µm PM fibers, combining the XQ7410 programmable fiber cleaver and XQ7260-C fusion splicer from OSCOM with the LSB-ASE-1550-5-P polarized light source and PEM-100L polarization extinction ratio (PER) meter from Opeak. The booth also featured a Fex-Laser unit, allowing visitors to examine the equipment and discuss applications of single-frequency ultraviolet and blue lasers in photolithography and other high-precision tasks; the range covers wavelengths from 190 to 488 nm, including special versions at 193, 248 and 257.3 nm, with average output powers from 10 mW to 5 W.
At our demo zone, attendees explored the capabilities of our partners’ solutions:
- Femtosecond 3D nanoprinting, maskless photolithography, and micromachining systems;
- Thermal imaging systems for testing printed circuit boards and microprocessors from TekKnow;
- High-precision RF and optical measurement equipment from DK PHOTONICS and ZEPREN SOLUTIONS;
- Spatial light modulators (SLMs) based on LCoS and DMD technologies, as well as acousto-optic and electro-optic modulators from UPOLabs;
- 3D optical profilometers with a vertical-axis resolution of 0.001 nm;
- Piezoelectric positioning stages from MultiFields Technologies — sub-nanometer-resolution actuators for optical alignment and active stabilization in sensitive spectroscopic setups.
Contributions to the scientific program
Our specialists delivered the talk “Spectral and Spatial Resolution as a Diagnostic Tool for Photonic Integrated Circuits: Brillouin Optical Spectrum Analysis and Coherent Optical Frequency-Domain Reflectometry.” The presentation addressed high-precision diagnostic and characterization methods for photonic integrated circuits (PICs).
A poster presentation, “Frequency-Converted Fiber Lasers in the 193–488 nm Range. Two-Photon Polymerization at the Nano- and Microscale,” complemented the exhibition activities. It covered ultraviolet and visible laser sources and the use of two-photon polymerization to form micro- and nanostructures.
Professional exchange beyond the exhibition
The forum’s official program was complemented by sports, cultural and entertainment activities. Members of our team took part in the traditional “For Science, Manufacturing and a Healthy Spirit” run.
We thank the forum organizers, participants and visitors to our demonstration area for the productive dialogue and their strong interest in the technologies presented. We look forward to meeting again at future scientific and technical event!
